Our Dive/Fishing boat, the "SEAQUEST"

SEA QUEST, Dive Statia's new addition to its fleet is a 36 foot Bonner. This will be used for diving, deep sea fishing and chartering to neighboring islands. The vessel is very comfortable in most types of sea and has a head and two fresh water rinse stations.

Fish the newest fishin' holes in the Caribbean for wahoo, king mackeral, dolphin and the blue marlin. The fishing gear is professional and there will be a large selection of fish catching baits. Half day and full day charters are available.

All of this is available through DIVE STATIA, the oldest and most experienced dive training center on Statia. Just ask our professional PADI dive guides to take you to their favorite spot. We offer for the non diver a two-hour Discover Scuba Diving course which includes a dive on our beautiful reefs. We invite you to enjoy our volcanic sandy beach in frontc of our shop for sunbathing, snorkeling, reading your favorite book.

Dive statia has purchased six new Malibu Two XL ocean kayaks for use in the harbor or to explore new areas of the island that are too remote for a car or a trail. Easy to use and they are very safe. They come with floating paddles and life vests for each kayaker. Guided trips, snorkel trips and sunset cruises are available also. Hourly-half day and daily rates are offered.

Dive Statia has added DPVs (Diver Propulsion Vehicles) underwater scooters to their things "to do". There are eight Sea-doo vs supercharged scooters to use for underwater sightseeing or for snorkeling. "These vehicles can make you a very lazy diver," says Rudy. They are rented by the dive and will be used by the dive guide as well when other divers are using the underwater scooters. They are fun and safe to use.

Dive packages start from 3 nights and include hotel (with breakfast), airport transfers, taxes and service charges, and daily two-tank dives. Packages are offered with all the hotels and various guest houses with all the island charm. We included a great deal of fun with the dive crew and the island population.
